Media Lions at Cannes 2009


The Media Lions at Cannes International Advertising Festival were awarded on Tuesday June 22. The Media Jury, chaired by Nick Brien, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mediabrands, shortlisted 211 entries out of the 1840 competing and awarded 122 winners, 20 Gold, 30 Silver and 71 Bronze Lions. Media Agency of the Year was Dentsu Tokyo, Japan. The Gold winners of the Young Lions Media Competition were the Australian team made up of Lauren Cassar, Communications Strategist and Tristan Burrell, Media Planner, both from Universal McCann.

Grand Prix went to JWT Japan for Nestle’s Kit Kat Postcard campaign with Japan Post.
